Nick named the "Flying Prostitute" or “The Widow Maker” it flew with no visible means of support. The Army's B-26 was considered so dangerous that aircrews tried to avoid getting assigned. The B26's speed for getting out of trouble was 315mph. It could out run even the ME 109-D which topped out at 304mph.
